Rating reiterations across 3,515 names

Rating reiterations were measured across 3,515 names over the last three years; 45% of them have a positive median reaction at 30 minutes. An analyst restates an existing rating. The highest-volume, lowest-information analyst event — the baseline.

What the cross-section shows

Rating reiterations do not move one way.

Across hundreds of events per name, median reactions sit near zero — reiterations are mostly noise, which is exactly what a base-rate should show.

Across all 3,515 measured names, 45% have a positive median 30-minute reaction and 249 have a median of exactly 0.00%. No single median is published for the class: with the names split that evenly, the middle of that distribution is zero, and it is zero on all six of these pages.

Last 3 years, pulled 2026-08-31. Reaction = percent move vs. the price at the news timestamp. Counts and medians only. Both tables rank only the 1,504 names with at least 50 measured rating reiterations; the full population publishes every name with at least 10, where a handful of events can put a name at either extreme.
