That made them the latest to back the burrito chain's shares: Morgan Stanley did the same last week. Most analysts give Chipotle stock a “buy” rating, according to Visible Alpha. Chipotle ( CMG ) shares are having a rough 2025. Wall Street expects the burrito chain's stock to get back on track. The company's shares fell less than 1% Monday, closing just below $50 to bring their year-to-date decline to about 18%, substantially underperforming the S&P 500. Lately, though, some analysts have shored up their support for the stock: Most recently, Oppenheimer reiterated an "outperform" rating, saying it's time to take advantage of the fall. The bank on Sunday said the stock's slide has Chipotle shares looking attractive even with some concern about near-term same-store sales growth. “We believe [Chipotle] is one of the best positioned for a powerful rebound in sales trends as industry headwinds subside,” Oppenheimer wrote.
