FRISCO, Texas April 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Crystal Clearwater Resources (CCR), a wastewater solutions technology leader, today announced the appointment of Mark Berg as its Chairman of the Board of Directors. Berg is a senior energy industry executive with extensive commercial and operational experience. He formerly served as Executive Vice President, Corporate Operations at Pioneer Natural Resources where he played a key role in transforming the company into a major U.S. shale oil and gas developer. Berg led the negotiating team for Pioneer's $65 billion merger with ExxonMobil. During his tenure at Pioneer, Berg was responsible for multiple commercial and operational functions, including the company's infrastructure and water management business, which provides an ideal background for CCR's strategy to deploy its water treatment technology to manage wastewater produced from shale oil and gas operations.
