The widely popular cup makers issued a recall on 2.6 million Switchback and Trigger Action stainless steel travel mugs, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, due to faulty lids that could and have caused burn injuries On Thursday, the commission stated the recall was due to the mug's lid threads shrinking "when exposed to heat and torque," which causes "the lid to detach during use, posing a burn hazard".
