(NYSE: WS), a market-leading, value-added metals processing company, today reported financial results for the fiscal 2025 first quarter ended August 31, 2024.First Quarter Highlights (all comparisons to the first quarter of fiscal 2024):Net sales of $834.0 million decreased 8% compared to $905.8 million.Operating income of $43.4 million compared to $69.7 million.Net earnings attributable to controlling interest of $28.4 million compared to $58.5 million.Net earnings per diluted share attributable to controlling interest of $0.56 compared to $1.19; Adjusted net earnings per diluted share attributable to controlling interest of $0.56 compared to $1.26.Adjusted EBIT of $39.4 million compared to $80.5 million.Declared a quarterly dividend of $0.16 per share payable on December 27, 2024, to shareholders of record on December 13, 2024.“The first quarter of fiscal year 2025 was solid for Worthington Steel despite some headwinds,” s
