Worthington Industries to close oil and gas operations in Wooster, Ohio, affecting 122 employees Worthington Industries Inc. WOR, +1.83% indicated Tuesday that 122 employees will be affected by its plan to close its oil and gas equipment manufacturing operation in Wooster, Ohio by the end of May, and consolidate the operations into the existing facility in Bremen, Ohio. The company said over half of the affected employees in Wooster will have the opportunity to transfer to the Bremen facility. The Wooster and Bremen facilities are roughly two hours apart by car, according to Google maps. Worthington's stock, which was still inactive in premarket trading, has advanced 3.1% over the past three months, while the S&P 500 SPX, +0.57% has gained 8.6%.
