The German regulatory agency did not find any serious competition concerns with the proposed transaction. SAP, Europe's largest software company which is based in the small town of Walldorf near Stuttgart, announced its intention to acquire WalkMe at the beginning of June in a $1.5 billion transaction. The Israeli firm WalkMe describes itself as one of the leading providers of digital adoption platforms, or DAPs for short, a kind of programme that is increasingly replacing traditional training courses in large companies such as new employee orientations. The WalkMe software is designed to help people use and learn programmes on computers and smartphones through interactive instructions and other features, which the company contends will make it easier for workers to deal with the multitude of different IT systems used by many companies.
