The company said it is "deploying a global new unit expansion strategy to meet the growing demand for Wendy's across the globe." The in the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa region and recently opened the first of 200 planned restaurants in Australia. Wendy's also plans to continue expanding in Europe, with restaurants set to open this year in Romania, Scotland and Ireland, according to a news release last month.
