WOOSTER, Ohio, Sept. 28, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Wayne Savings Bancshares, Inc. (OTCQX:WAYN), (the “Company”), the holding company parent of Wayne Savings Community Bank (the “Bank”), has declared a cash dividend increase of $0.04 to $0.15 per share of the Company’s common stock for the quarter ending September 30, 2018. This represents an increase of 36% from the June 30, 2018 dividend of $0.11. The quarterly cash dividend will be paid on October 31, 2018 to stockholders of record as of October 17, 2018. “We are pleased to announce a significant dividend increase to our shareholders. We remain committed to our long-term plan of enhancing shareholder value through dividends, share buybacks and prudent, profitable growth,” said President and CEO James R. VanSickle. At June 30, 2018, Wayne Savings Bancshares, Inc. reported total assets of $463.0 million, deposits of $379.1 million, and stockholders’ equity of $42.5 million, or 9.18% of total assets.
