Shares of the company surged as much as 65% to $2.63 on Monday. The Chinese used car retailer said it expects to keep its adjusted EBITDA losses under RMB 10 million for the second quarter and remains confident in achieving EBITDA profitability in Q3. The company estimated Q2 total revenue to be within the RMB 480 million to RMB 500 million range. It forecast retail transaction volume to reach between 5,800 and 6,000 units, implying a 40% increase from Q1. "The overall used car market has shown signs of recovery, with nationwide used car sales increasing by 6.4% year-over-year... With the market gradually recovering and the increased penetration of our value-added services, we anticipate further room for gross margin improvement going forward," CFO John Lin said during a call with analysts.
