HSINCHU, Taiwan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--United Microelectronics Corporation (NYSE: UMC; TWSE: 2303)(“UMC”), a leading semiconductor foundry, today held its Low-Carbon Supply Chain Awards Ceremony, in which 16 suppliers were recognized for their performance in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. UMC launched its Supply Chain Greenhouse Gas Inventory Initiative in 2022 to provide suppliers with resources to measure and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.
