The Wolverines took command with a 26-0 run in the first and second quarters. U-M will face top-seeded USC in the semifinals on Saturday afternoon. Teamwork makes the dream work, or at least it did for Michigan women's basketball in the Big Ten tournament quarterfinals on Friday in Indianapolis. The fifth-seeded Wolverines picked up 28 assists on their 36 made shots, all while shooting 61% in an 98-71 upset of fourth-seeded Maryland for their second straight trip to the Big Ten semifinals. U-M broke open the game early, shredding a 6-6 tie midway through the first quarter with a 26-0 run that saw the Terps go nearly nine minutes without scoring. During that stretch, Maryland missed 11 straight shots, while U-M hit 10 of 15 shots from the field, with a quartet of guards shelling the Terps. After going scoreless for the first 2:17 of the second quarter, the Terps stormed back with 31 points to make it a four-point game at the half. But U-M answered with 28 points in the third
