power, heating, and cooling equipment, is pleased to announce orders for seven 400-ton DTX chillers for the iconic Las Vegas Convention Center. These chillers are part of a project to modernize the convention center's Central Cooling Plant with newer, more efficient chillers, pumps, and other equipment. "The convention center plans to use our natural gas chillers to reduce expensive peak-time electricity charges. When conventions are held, the energy and cooling loads spike. As utilities across the country face power shortages, these peak-time charges are becoming punitive. By switching to natural gas cooling during peak times, the convention center can better control its energy bills," said Jeffrey Glick, Tecogen's VP of Sales. "We look forward to these chillers being installed at the Las Vegas Convention Center in 2025.
