BEIJING, May 17, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Tarena International, Inc. (NASDAQ: TEDU) ("Tarena" or the "Company"), a leading provider of professional education services in China, today announced that it received a notification letter from Nasdaq Listing Qualifications ("Nasdaq") stating that the Company was not in compliance with Nasdaq Listing Rule 5250(c)(1) due to its failure to timely file its Annual Report on Form 20-F for the year ended December 31, 2018 (the "2018 Form 20-F"). The Company had previously filed Form 12b-25 to extend the filing deadline for its 2018 Form 20-F. The Company was not able to file its annual report on Form 20-F for the year ended December 31, 2018 by the prescribed filing deadline of April 30, 2019 without unreasonable effort or expense because (i) the Company was unable to finish preparing its financial statements for the periods to be included in the annual report by the prescribed filing deadline; and (ii) the independent audit committee of the Company's
