As a member of AOMedia, Trinity College Dublin will collaborate with the Alliance's community of internet and media technology member companies to drive open standards for cutting-edge video, audio, and multimedia advancements worldwide. Founded in 1998 by Professor Anil Kokaram, the School of Engineering's Signal Processing for Media Applications ( Sigmedia ) Group will lead the effort to help AOMedia explore new use cases, technical advancements, and adoption strategies that promote a more open media ecosystem. Sigmedia is a prominent audio and video technology research group within the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at Trinity College Dublin.
