DC Grid Frustrated with the combination of what its founder terms inefficiencies of AC-power systems and red tape from municipalities and utilities to build an infrastructure to power electric vehicle charging stations and artificial intelligence data centers, a new company providing off-grid power is stepping in to fill the gap. Officially launching today, Mountain View, California-based DC Grid is offering modular, direct current power generators using energy sources such as solar, renewable natural gas and biogas. Founder Vic Shao cites his experiences running other energy companies such as Amply Power and Green Charge network as the basis for creating DC Grid.
