Dive Brief: Spirit AeroSystems ended 2024 with a $2.14 billion net loss as a result of production and delivery changes implemented by its biggest customer Boeing, according to a Feb. 28 earnings report The changes included lower than planned Boeing 737 production rates, the aerospace supplier said. Other challenges included a lack of price increases on Airbus's plane programs. Spirit AeroSystems's Q4 2024 revenue was down 8.9% year over year to $1.7 billion. Full-year revenue, however, was up 4% YOY to $6.3 billion as a result of higher Boeing 737 deliveries, as well as the timing of working capital, according to the securities filing.
