Sprouts Farmers Market is preparing to make a major store drop in Florida. The grocer will open five locations in the state, including one in Melbourne on Friday. Sprouts will open a store in Largo a week later before opening three more locations in April in Boynton Beach, Kissimmee, and Coconut Creek. Plans call for the Phoenix-based company to open at least seven stores in Florida this year, creating more than 650 jobs. A location in St. Johns welcomed shoppers in January. During its fourth-quarter earnings call in late February, Sprouts stated that it plans to celebrate 35 store debuts in 2025, which is just shy of the retailer's 10% annual unit growth goal. Sprouts officials also mentioned that all of the upcoming new locations will be in the retailer's existing markets as it works to build density.
