The proposal management function is a valuable commercial asset that has a perception problem. Proposal teams are often miscast as a back office administrative role. The reality is, in most B2B organizations, proposal teams are the breadwinners of the organization, according to Danelle Morrow, the VP of North America Creative Services and Proposal Development Center at Sodexo – a business with over 430,000 employees across the globe serving more than 100 million consumers daily. Proposal teams drive over a third of company revenues according to Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) . These teams have direct control over the information, processes and increasingly systems that allow a business to generate high quality, winning responses to customer requests for proposals, information and answers. “There's a common but outdated way of thinking where the proposal function is perceived primarily as an administrative role that is more task oriented” says Danelle Morr
