eight flights between Dublin and London Stansted to offer alternative services for passengers' affected by Heathrow's sudden closure. Heathrow, Europe's busiest airport, was shut on Friday after a huge fire at a nearby electrical substation wiped out its power, disrupting flight schedules around the world. Ryanair, Europe's largest airline by passenger numbers, said it will operate four extra flights to and from Dublin and Stansted later on Friday and four more early on Saturday. The Irish airline often adds additional flights when rivals are forced to cancel flights. Ryanair's main Irish rival Aer Lingus, which is owned by International Airlines Group, said it had cancelled all flights to and from Heathrow on Friday until further notice.
