However, Ukraine also requires air defense at the tactical level, as the Russian military is increasingly using guided missiles and loitering munitions to target Ukrainian front-line positions. As such, Germany is providing Ukraine with four Skynex Air Defense System, a short-range air defense (SHORAD) solution. Earlier this year, Germany delivered the first two of these systems, with two more to be delivered at an unspecified future date.
