Rambus stock falls after quarter comes up short Rambus Inc. RMBS, -0.69% shares dropped in the extended session Monday after the chip company's results fell short of Wall Street estimates. Rambus shares fell 9.2% after hours, following a 0.7% decline in the regular session to close at $12.89. The company reported a second-quarter loss of $37 million, or 33 cents a share, compared with $15.4 million, or 14 cents a share, in the year-ago period. On an adjusted basis, the company broke even for the quarter. Revenue rose to $58.3 million from $56.5 million in the year-ago quarter. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had forecast earnings of 8 cents a share on revenue of $96.3 million. Show less Read more
