The company is focused on the delivery of its A14 series, as well as the production ramp of its A15 series and the development of its A16 series. On top of that, Canaan ( CAN ) is looking to add 10 exahashes per second (EH/s) of mining capacity by the end of the first half of 2025 within North America. "We believe Canaan's R&D platform underpins the company's ability to keep pace with its larger competitors and opens the door for economies of scope over the long term," analyst Nick Giles wrote in a Tuesday note to clients. And its "ability to grow its self-mining fleet at a lower capital intensity than its peers should not be overlooked," he added. B. Riley's Buy rating aligns with the average Wall Street analyst rating of Strong Buy. CAN gained 1.9% minutes after Wednesday's opening bell.
