"Estamos en relación directa con las autoridades americanas y vamos a ver si somos capaces de buscar mecanismos que puedan permitir que sigamos con nuestra actividad en este país, que nunca ha sido fácil", dijo Josu Jon Imaz en una conferencia en Madrid. Imaz explicó que la mayoría de la producción de Repsol en Venezuela es gas natural, y solamente "una pequeña" parte es petróleo. "Casi el 85% de nuestra producción en Venezuela es gas natural que, además, sostiene una parte del sistema eléctrico de todo el occidente venezolano", explicó.
