A Robinhood ( HOOD ) spokesperson told the news publication that there are "no imminent plans" to issue a stablecoin — a type of crypto designed to maintain a stable value by being pegged to a reserve asset. The rollout would mark an expansion in Robinhood's ( HOOD ) cryptocurrency business, which has been faring well as of late in terms of trading volume. Such a move could also potentially weaken Tether's ( USDT-USD ) dominance in the stablecoin market, mainly due to stricter regulations in Europe, Bloomberg said .
