The U.S. operation of TikTok Shop launched in 2023, and has attracted to the platform, who spend on average every day, according to Capital One Shopping. The social media-based marketplace combines the ultra-cheap price points of with in-app social shopping, similar to Instagram and It added an estimated U.S. buyers in 2024 alone, placing it ahead of competitors like and in the same period, according to Emarketer. “All these companies should be real nervous because TikTok Shop starts from this huge strength of customer retention,” said Jason Goldberg, chief commerce strategy officer at Publicis Groupe, a marketing firm.
