At the recent inauguration ceremony in Washington D.C. on 20 January, in a departure from the soft powder blue Ralph Lauren outfit she wore in 2017, the First Lady opted for a structured, fitted navy silk wool coat with a matching navy skirt and an ivory silk crepe blouse. The outfit, by American designer Adam Lippes, was beautifully accessorized with a wide-brimmed hat with white detail, made by the American milliner Eric Javits.
