The companies sold 484.7 million shares at 311.4 rupees each, according to terms of the deal obtained by Bloomberg News. The sales represents a stake of about 18% in Indus Towers. The divestment follows the UK-based carrier's efforts to streamline its portfolio. Chief Executive Officer Margherita Della Valle, who took the reigns last year, has sold off underperforming markets and worked to scale back a sprawling empire that at one point stretched from the US to Africa. ©2024 Bloomberg L.P.
