Now, we're seeing something practically unprecedented in the hero-game space. NetEase has revealed that Marvel Rivals will release the entire Fantastic Four when season 1 launches next week on Monday, January 6. That, of course, is a full four characters. With the arrival of Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben, that joins the already-large launch roster of 33 characters. What's stunning here is that this is four times the amount of heroes you would expect for a season in this genre. Its rival, Overwatch, for instance, only releases one new hero per season. The same for Apex Legends, and most other games. Four heroes in season 1? Yeesh. This also may imply a greatly accelerated pace of content for Marvel Rivals more generally. While they may not reach a full four characters per season, every season, again, we have a list of 13 total heroes that have been datamined, so that's nine more on deck.
