Given its size and diversification, the company's portfolio is highly attractive from a qualitative standpoint. NMM's net debt of $1.97 billion represents ~33% of fleet value, and with $3.9 billion in contracted revenues through 2037, I do not view the balance sheet as problematic. Using data provided by VesselsValue and Clarksons Research, Navios' fleet was worth ~$5.88 billion at the end of October 2024. Relative to a net asset value of $3.91 million, the current market capitalization of $1.27 billion represents a discount to NAV of almost 70%. Aggressively buying back shares instead of ordering new vessels could unlock significant value for shareholders. The same fleet growth of 15% could be achieved with ~10% of the capital.
