"We started doing 'Shrek' four or five months ago," Murphy told Collider, while promoting his latest "Beverly Hills Cop" installment, "I recorded the first act, and we'll be doing it this year, we'll finish it up." "Another 'Shrek'is coming out, and Donkey's gonna have his own (spin-off) movie," Murphy said, adding later that he thinks "Shrek 5" will be released sometime in 2025. The fifth film was announced last year although Murphy's original co-stars Mike Myers (Shrek), Cameron Diaz (Princess Fiona) and Antonio Banderas (Puss in Boots) have yet to confirm their involvement in the movie. The last "Shrek" movie "Shrek Forever After" was released in 2010 but two popular "Puss In Boots" spinoffs starring Banderas have thrilled moviegoers since then.
