Summary I am bearish on Grindr due to its limited TAM, monetization challenges, competition, poor employee relations, and data privacy issues. Grindr's increased ad load and insistence on paywalling more features risk alienating free users. If free users leave, payers have less of a reason to subscribe. The US market is saturated. Reliance on international user growth will cause the monetization rate per user to drop. 46% of employees were fired in 2023. This hinders the firm's ability to launch new products. The CEO has a low approval rating on Glassdoor, signaling employee relations haven't recovered. I project a 2% IRR over the next 3 years and 5 months. Willie B.
