ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mirion (NYSE: MIR), a global leader in radiation safety, science, and medicine, has been selected to supply the Radiation Monitoring System (RMS) and Nuclear Instrumentation System (XIS) to support the Natrium Reactor Demonstration Project in Wyoming. This project marks the first commercial advanced nuclear power plant in the U.S. and is a public-private partnership between TerraPower, a leading nuclear innovation company, and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The goal is to deploy the Natrium technology, which combines a sodium-cooled fast reactor with a molten salt energy storage system.The contracts recently awarded by TerraPower are for two key systems.
