Through March 28, 69 people were given layoff notices from two companies, according to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. Farm equipment maker Oxbo International Corp. is closing its Clear Lake facility and consolidating all production activities to a new facility in Bergen, New York. That will eliminate 68 jobs starting in June and ending in December, said the company's notice filed with the department. "A key driver of the consolidation strategy and of the investment in one new, modern, highly efficientplant was to reduce the risks from significant year-to-year market fluctuation," said Oxbo's statement. "Choosing this strategy was difficult because of the impact on employees. But it was the strategy that will position Oxbo to continue to be the world leader in providing specialty crops harvesting solutions well into the future," it said. Also, BH Security LLC, doing business as Brinks Home, is eliminating one Milwaukee job in June, according to its notice
