The casino company made the announcement in a regulatory filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. An entity named Venetian Venture Development Intermediate II and another financial services firm stated their intention to purchase the $103 million worth of shares in Macau-based Sands China ( OTCPK:SCHYY OTCPK:SCHYF ). Based on Sands China's ( OTCPK:SCHYY OTCPK:SCHYF ) current trading price, the stock purchases would amount to a 0.74% stake in the company and boost Las Vegas Sands' ( LVS ) ownership position to just under 72%. In December 2023, Las Vegas Sands ( LVS ) boosted its position in Sands China ( OTCPK:SCHYY OTCPK:SCHYF ) by $250 million. On the development front, Las Vegas Sands ( LVS ) CEO Rob Goldstein said the casino operator plans another development in Singapore to complement its highly profitable Marine Bay Sands casino resort there.
