Fashion Industry Awaits Big Designer Debuts In Paris [Barron's]

The first day, dedicated to the new guard, will begin with the traditional runway show by graduates of the French Fashion Institute. Next up will be a "completely off-the-wall" show by French designer Victor Weinsanto followed by a presentation from Japanese brand CFCL (Clothing For Contemporary Life). New York label Vaquera will close out the day. Over nine days, more than 100 fashion houses will unveil their Fall-Winter 2025-2026 collections. Among the most anticipated are Sarah Burton's debut at Givenchy on Friday, Julian Klausner's first collection for Dries Van Noten and Haider Ackermann's first show at Tom Ford on Wednesday. Tom Ford, a mainstay of New York Fashion Week, will be appearing in Paris for the first time. Alaia, a renowned Parisian couture house owned by Swiss luxury giant Richemont, will also make its official fashion week debut on Tuesday.
