Most Read from Bloomberg Investors have been scrutinizing weekly US prescription data for signs of a pickup in growth for obesity drug Wegovy and for how it is faring against Eli Lilly & Co.'s rival drug, Zepbound. So far, the figures have been lackluster. The stock has fallen 28% in March to date, on track for its biggest monthly drop since July 2002, and Novo recently lost its title as Europe's most-valuable public company to software developer SAP SE. “Wegovy US prescriptions data track below consensus expectations and guidance, with Eli Lilly winning share and Novo total prescriptions and starting dose prescriptions flat,” Morgan Stanley analyst Thibault Boutherin wrote in a note last week.
