GlobalData Mon, February 10, 2025 at 5:05 PM GMT+1 1 min read In This Article KOS Kosmos Energy has begun liquified natural gas (LNG) production at the bp-operated Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) project offshore Mauritania and Senegal. The first gas from the GTA project began flowing from wells to a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel on 31 December last year, as part of the commissioning process. At the FPSO, the gas is processed to remove condensate, water and impurities before being sent to the floating LNG vessel for liquefaction. With the liquefaction of gas into LNG, Kosmos will start to recognise gas entitlement production from the project. Kosmos will begin recognising revenue and generating cash flow from the project upon the lifting of the first LNG cargo.
