With new car prices rising, more buyers may shift to the used car market, further widening the price gap between new and used vehicles. Initially, the used car industry might benefit from a surge in demand before potential price increases follow. CarMax is the largest used vehicle retailer in the United States but its sales figures aren't that impressive.
