Spirit will now fly daily from Bradley to Detroit, beginning June 12 and to Nashville, twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays, starting August 15, according to a release from the Connecticut Airport Authority , which oversees Bradley's operations. The two new destinations expand upon Spirit's existing service to Fort Lauderdale, FL, Myrtle Beach, SC and Orlando, FL from Bradley. Michael W. Shea, the CAA's executive director, said routes announced Friday will expand low-cost fare options at Bradley. “The nonstop flights to Detroit and Nashville will offer travelers greater convenience as Spirit strengthens its footprint in our region,” Shea said. Currently, nonstop service from Bradley to Detroit is offered by Delta and to Nashville by Southwest, according to Bradley's web site. Spirit is emerging from a tumultuous time in its history.
