The company, which has 160,000 employees and operates in 70 countries, aims to realign its talent and resources to align with its strategy. The job reductions are part of a broader effort to strengthen the company's impact and competitiveness, with Cargill having already divested several businesses and closed factories earlier this year. Cargill plans to cut 5% of its global workforce, which based on data in the US-headquartered agri-food giant's annual report would amount to around 8,000 jobs.
