The initiative aims to enhance data accessibility, optimize decision-making and improve operational efficiency by integrating Microsoft's Copilot AI technology into Itron's Intelligent Edge Operating System (IEOS). Set to launch globally in the second quarter of 2025, this AI-fueled platform will act as a virtual assistant for utility operators, allowing them to access insights on metering, customer usage, network performance and distributed energy resources such as solar, wind and battery storage. The IEOS platform forms the bedrock of Itron's Grid Edge Intelligence (GEI) solutions.
