Having seen the a while back, it was pretty obvious who the game's mecha designers were. However, I am grateful that the studio behind the game did at least reveal the names of the mecha designers this time around. If you are unfamiliar with the work of Ishigaki and Yanase, Ishigaki is a longterm veteran mecha designer across anime and games. From working on Xenogears to various Gundam shows, Ishigaki's style is also quite elegant and works well in fantasy settings. By contrast, Yanase is a younger mecha designer that often collaborates with , but has also worked across a variety of anime and games. From various Gundam shows to Eureka Seven and more recently on games such as Mecha Break itself does look interesting though, like an updated version of the games but with a multiplayer focus. With this kind of functional approach and more athleticized mecha design, I can see Mecha Break doing quite well across Asia, but I'm not sure whether it will find an audience in the West.
