IRobot shares dive 16% after lowering guidance IRobot Corp. IRBT, -3.07% shares plunged more than 16% in the extended session Tuesday after it beat earnings and revenue expectations but lowered its holiday quarter guidance, citing U.S. tariffs on robotic vacuum cleaners, among other issues. The robot vacuum maker reported fourth-quarter net income of $35.5 million, or $1.24 a share, compared with $31.9 million, or $1.12 a share, in the year-ago period. Revenue rose to $289.4 million from $264.5 million in the year-ago period. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had estimated earnings of 52 cents a share on revenue of $259.4 million. For the fourth quarter, analysts model earnings of $1.03 a share on sales of $444 million. IRobot lowered its full-year guidance to earnings of $2.60 to $2.80 a share on sales of $1.2 billion to $1.21 billion.
