Its main asset is the Santa Cruz project in Arizona. The initial assessment completed in September 2023 estimates 1.6 million tons of copper production over a 20-year mine life, with cash costs of $1.36 per pound. Production is expected to commence in 2029. In addition, Ivanhoe Electric owns two proprietary exploration technologies, Typhoon and CGI, which can be monetized further through licenses to third parties.
