According to The Hershey Company, they have officially acquired the new fast-growing sweet and sour candy called Sour Strips. Englewood Hershey temporarily shuts down restaurant operations Sour Strips, whose slogan is “sour candy that doesn't suck” was first founded back in 2019 by social media personality Maxx Chewning. Moving forward, Chewning will continue to lead marketing and innovation efforts for the Sour Strips brand. “Our partnership with The Hershey Company represents a significant step in our mission to innovate and set new standards within the Confection category,” Maxx Chewning, Founder of Sour Strips said. “Hershey's exceptional track record making iconic brands worldwide aligns perfectly with our vision for Sour Strips.
