Play 6min Summary H&R Block shares dropped 6.5% after an uneventful Q1, presenting a buying opportunity ahead of Q4 repurchases and FY25 tax season. After spending $210 million to purchase 2.4% of the float in Q1, management could be more aggressive over the next few weeks to take advantage of the lower share price. The Trump election and the FTC settlement are both small positives for the company in my opinion. H&R Block's consistent earnings growth, compelling valuation and accretive share repurchases make it a buy with potential 15-20% returns over the next few years. Margarita-Young H&R Block (NYSE: HRB ) just reported their normal uneventful Q1, and shares declined 6.5%, now giving up most of the gains since reporting their big FY24 and guiding FY25 well above consensus.
