The automaker has had a marked preference since the 1990s for hydrogen fuel cells. However, in recent years as it became increasingly clear there was no momentum toward building out a hydrogen fueling infrastructure it has started to shift its strategy to BEVs. After producing a couple of short range BEVs, Honda partnered with GM on interim products while it worked on a new electric platform of its own. At CES 2024 we got a hint of what to expect with the 0 Series concepts and this year we are seeing near production versions of an electric sedan and crossover. Honda 0 Series Saloon Prototype Honda As the final sales numbers for 2024 emerged in the first days of 2025, taking a look at EV sales showed an interesting result. With 33,017 sales, the Honda Prologue was actually the best selling EV built by GM on its platform formerly known as Ultium.
