I'm just trying to get more reps." The son of Hall of Fame linebacker Brian Urlacher plans to enter the transfer portal as the 10-day spring window opened Wednesday. Despite flashing at times in 2024, the younger Urlacher (5-foot-11, 195 pounds) struggled to carve out a role in a deep safeties room. Playing mostly boundary safety, Urlacher competed with holdovers Tae Johnson, Luke Talich, Ben Minich and Taebron Bennie-Powell as well as highly regarded freshmen JaDon Blair and Ethan Long to earn playing time next to returning starter Adon Shuler.
