The picture looks “favorable for a few more [weeks], but then skewed to the downside,” said Scott Rubner, managing director for global markets and tactical specialist at Goldman Sachs, in a note to clients. Over the next week, CTAs are expecting $21.2B in inflows with $11B into the U.S., with about $6B in outflows and $5.25B in outflows into the U.S. However, over the next month, CTAs are expecting $133.78B of equity outflows, with $47.07B out of the U.S., with about $8B of inflows into the U.S. When it comes to bonds, flows also look skewed to the downside, said Rubner. CTAs are expecting $129.9B of outflows in the U.S. over the next month, with $357.67B in outflows overall.
